After the events of the first film, Ben Healy (John Ritter) and his adoptive son, Junior (Michael Oliver), relocate to the small town of Mortville for a fresh start. However, Junior’s talent for causing mayhem quickly resurfaces. Things get complicated when Ben falls for Lawanda Dumore (Laraine Newman), a single mother whose daughter, Trixie (Ivyann Schwan), is just as devious as Junior. The two troublemakers join forces, turning the town upside down with their pranks—from sabotaging a beauty pageant to wreaking havoc at a carnival. Meanwhile, Ben must deal with a jealous rival suitor (Jack Warden) while trying to keep Junior’s antics under control. The film escalates in absurdity, featuring over-the-top gags, crude humor, and Junior’s signature devilish grin. While not as successful as the first film, Problem Child 2 remains a cult favorite for fans of outrageous '90s comedies.
